Andria Saxon
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, Certified Veterinary Technician
Andria Saxon began her career in veterinary medicine with Dr. Bob McKnight of Florence, Oregon, as a kennel assistant on her 16th birthday. She attended Lane Community College and Oregon State University, where she studied pre-veterinary medicine. Falling in love, getting married, and starting a family put that career path on hold.
While raising her family, she worked for International Paper Company in the timber accounting department and explored a career in accounting. While enjoyable, it just wasn’t veterinary medicine. The family moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, to follow her husband’s career, and she began working for Ketchikan Veterinary Clinic in reception and as a veterinary assistant. When her husband was injured on the job, he changed careers, and the family moved to Eugene.
Dr. Nancy Johnson hired Andria as a veterinary assistant in 2002. Andria was promoted to practice manager and shortly after passed the national board examination to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. As the practice manager, she discovered the right combination of veterinary medicine and business management, creating the perfect career combination.
In 2007, Andria passed an international board examination to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. Since her career path had become clear, she returned to higher education and completed her Bachelor of Science in business administration through the University of Phoenix. It was a long and wondrous path, and she wouldn’t change it a single bit.
Andria is married to Brad, and they own a farm in Creswell. Cats, horses, bees, and chickens call Tangled Orchard Farm home.
